How to get there?

By car

If you travel from Poland, Germany, Benelux, or the east of France probably the most convenient way is driving there. Szklarska Poreba is close to the German motorway system (see the map below). Once you reach Szklarska Poreba, it is not hard to find the conference hotel. The name of the hotel is OLIMP and there are many directions to it in the town. If you drive, from the direction of Jelenia Gora then you must turn left from the main road close to the bus station. If you drive from Prague, you turn right on the same crossing. Then it is about 2 km, and no way to get lost. If you arrive by train and want to walk to the hotel, you must reach the center of the village first and then follow the directions. The distance from the station to the hotel is about 3 km.

By plane

If you travel by plane, it is suggested to fly to Wroclaw. Wroclaw has direct plane connections with Copenhagen, Frankfurt am Main, Vienna and Warsaw. Then you can reach Szklarska Poreba by train (the trip takes 3 hours and there are 2 trains a day) or first by train to Jelenia Gora (2 hours, more than 20 trains a day) and then by cab. If you fly to Warsaw, you need 5 hours more to reach Wroclaw by train.

By train

Wroclaw has direct train connections with Berlin (4 hours) and some other cities in Germany. The service of Deutsche Bahn may help you find train connections. Tip: use a local ("Warszawa") or German ("Warschau") name when you think of a place ("Warsaw").

By bus

The cheapest way to reach Wroclaw from Western Europe is to take a bus. There are daily bus connections from every bigger city in Germany, France and Benelux. The ride from Paris takes about 20 hours. Still, a return ticket should not cost more than 100 euros. For more detailed information call your local travel agent, some telephone numbers follow.
